ALSO READ:. ALSO READ:. ALSO READ: If you just can’t get enough of Uncharted - or you don’t have a so can’t play Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End - then here are ten comparable titles that share themes, ideas or gameplay concepts with Uncharted that are well worth playing. We’ve chosen across a variety of platforms, game eras and themes to come up with our list, but you’re welcome to suggest other games, disagree or discuss in the comments section below. Rise Of The Tomb Raider (Xbox One) We are most certainly not the first to make the connection between Nathan Drake and Lara Croft, and we’re certain we won’t be the last. Lara’s been around a good long time in gaming terms, but her most recent escapade was snapped up by Microsoft as an exclusive.
It’s a superb game with a great mix of platform, combat, crafting and outright peril to contend with if your gaming console of choice is more Microsoft than Sony. Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time (PC, PS2, PS3 Xbox, Gamecube) Lara Croft more or less stole her original schtick from Jordan Mechner’s Prince Of Persia in the original Tomb Raider, and while the original ticking-clock platformer is still eminently playable, we’ll concentrate instead on the almost dreamlike Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time. No, not the movie, but the game that inspired the movie, complete with dizzying leaps, acrobatic swordplay and a trope-heavy damsel in distress to boot. Buy Prince of Persia: Sands of Time for Xbox One from Microsoft Store Thanks to Microsoft's backwards compatibility program, you can now enjoy Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time with better visuals and performance on your Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U) Ubisoft moved on from Prince Of Persia games to producing Assassin’s Creed games, of which you’re spoilt for choice. Taking the pirate theme from Uncharted 4 into account, however, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is the obvious match for sating all your piratical adventure needs, whether your tastes run to tense rooftop running or outright nautical combat. You’ll be awash in pieces of eight and adding 'Arrrrrrrr' to the end of every sentence before you know it.
Rolling Thunder 2 (Arcade, Megadrive) One of the key gameplay mechanics that’s been a stalwart part of the Uncharted experience has been ducking behind cover to avoid enemy fire, often while complaining about how much peril you’re in. Duck and cover as a gameplay mechanic isn’t anything new; we’re big fans of Namco’s Rolling Thunder 2 (and the original is no slouch either), which heavily relies on the concept of avoiding enemy fire as you strive to take down the nefarious Geldra organisation. If anyone from Bandai Namco is listening, we’d love a proper sequel.
Far Cry (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) If you thirst for Uncharted but can’t quite bring yourself to identify with Nathan Drake, taking things into the first person is a fine way to do it. Add jungles, mysterious plots, lurking in the bushes and a bevy of games that range from tropical jungles to African landscapes, and Ubisoft’s Far Cry may as well be Uncharted: First Person Edition. Buy Far Cry for PC from Green Man Gaming Jump back into the lush tropical jungles of the original Far Cry and discover where the hit series' distinct blend of shooting and adventuring all began. Syphon Filter (PSOne) Uncharted also sits as a Sony exclusive IP, but it’s far from the only one. It’s been a while since Sony’s delved into the adventures of Gabe Logan, an operative of the mysterious 'Agency', but back in the original PlayStation era, he was Sony’s own go-to man for action adventures with a slight James Bond twist.
You don’t even have to still have a PlayStation One lurking around - chances are that the laser has long given up the ghost even if you do - as it’s available as a 'PlayStation Classic' via Sony’s PlayStation Store. LEGO Jurassic World (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, 3DS, PC, Mac, iOS, Android) What do you do if you’ve got younger gamers who thirst for what is an MA15+ rated game like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End? You put them in front of something eminently more suitable for a younger crowd thanks to the lack of blood, but still packed with thrills, spills and jungle settings. LEGO Jurassic World should fit the bill nicely, with a mix of comedy and adventure set against the very dino-centric movies of the same name and more than a touch of open-world gameplay to boot.
(Atari 2600) Uncharted places you in plenty of hostile jungle style environments, but it was hardly the first game to pit an intrepid hero against the horrors of the jungle. For a real retro blast, how about the Atari 2600 classic Pitfall, or its superior sequel, Pitfall II? Sure, you don’t shoot much, but there are jungles, dangerous creatures and plenty of simple platforming on offer, not to mention a retro game history lesson along the way. The odds aren’t high that you’ve got a 2600 still plugged into your telly, but fear not; both the and its can be played at archive.org. There’s a mobile app version of Pitfall!

That’s essentially just an endless runner available for if mobile gaming is more your thing. Grand Theft Auto V (PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One) A bigger, more open world (or ) is the catch-cry for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and when most folk think of open world games, they inevitably come back to Rockstar’s mega franchise, Grand Theft Auto. They’re all great games - we’re still big fans of Grand Theft Auto Vice City which is still available for iOS and Android devices - but the current pinnacle of the GTA approach is undeniably GTA V. The humour is a lot cruder than in Uncharted, which means that GTA V truly earns its R18+ rating and then some, but if you thirst for an exceptionally well realised open world game with online features that expand the already lengthy game years after it was first released, GTA V is worth your money.

You would probably like Mass Effect 2, even though it's an RPG. It has a great story line, and all the shooting/action is in 3rd person, like Uncharted, but there is not jumping involved. Plus, it takes anywhere from I'd say 25 hours, to as much as 50 hours or more to complete, depending on your choices, and missions you'd like to complete. Here's some more games 'similar' to Uncharted in a since, with comparable actions: Both Ninja Gaiden Games, Heavenly Sword, Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, X-Men Origins: Wolverine Uncaged, Tomb Raider Games in HD, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Red Dead Redemption, InFamous 1 and 2 I hope that gives you some ideas for others you might like to try. I'd say inFAMOUS 2. It has cover shooting mechanics and platforming like Uncharted only the game isn't linear. You actually get to explore the world and approach situations however you see fit.
Another thing that puts inFAMOUS over Uncharted is the fact that you have a large arsenal of abilities all at your finger tips. Then there's the fun of playing the game evil or good. Also the game isn't forced into bad gameplay choices or inturrupted by cinematics like Uncharted does.
Also the story is 10 times better. Thanks; Here are my thoughts on some of the games mentioned. Infamous 1 +2: I've been on the fence with these as they didn't blow me away from the videos i've seen, however i'll give them a chance. Batman Arkham City/Aslyum: I love these games, although they aren't similar to Uncharted in the shooting aspect. Red Dead Redemption: This game looks sweet.
I think i saw videos for another western game and got them mixed up. This would be a good buy. Ninja Gaiden: I like these games Heavenly Sword: Similiar to God of War, which is also one of my favorite game series. Prototype: Looks like a Infamous rip off Unearthed: I can't find much on this game, PSN only? Lego's Indian Jones: I didn't look into this one yet. Not sure about Lego games.
Mass Effect 2 - Looks Sweet, although the first 1 isn't on PS3, and i hear the story draws back to the original a lot. I do like the cinematic appeal. X men Origins: I have this one on the Wii, reminds me of GOW as well. Tomb Raider: Haven't played these, although i thought they were more platform based.

Resident Evil5 is kind of like Uncharted only you fight mutants instead of human enemies. It's an action-adventure game with shooting and puzzle solving and it's really fun.
You can even find treasures in the game to sell for weapons and items just like in Uncharted. There's also the Tomb Raider games, there's a Tomb Raider Trilogy pack available on PS3 with Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Tomb Raider: Legends, and Tomb Raider: Underworld. These games are ports from the PS2 but the graphics are updated in high definition and look better than most HD ports. I recommend either one of these if you're looking for a good action-adventure game set in an exotic location.
